Herbert Hughlistus Campbell, 81, of Staunton, Virginia passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022.

He was born August 9, 1940 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, the son of the late Andrew Jackson Campbell and Ardenia Sprouse Campbell.

Herbert was formerly employed as a journeyman for Lambert’s Sheet Metal.

He enjoyed repairing old cars, listening to bluegrass music, playing the guitar, and loved his mountains.

Herbert is survived by his partner of 56 years, Rita Teresa Jankiewicz, of Staunton; sister, Shirley Pitts of Staunton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Bells Valley Cemetery with Pastor Johnny Sheppard officiating
